Throughout the academic year, both Junior and Senior Christian Union clubs engage in talks with guest speakers from local churches, partake in fun activities such as interactive workshops with special guests, exciting games, and fun quizzes as well as a weekend away to Castlewellan Castle whilst still maintaining a focus on learning from the Bibles teachings to make our Christian Union a great place for older and younger boys that have this in common to interact with one another.
Senior Christian Union: Mr J MacAfee
Junior Christian Union: Mrs M Matchett
Christian Union is a welcoming, non-threatening environment where we, both leaders and boys alike, encourage one another in our Christian faith. We are fortunate to have a range of outside organisations who lead three-week series throughout the year. These include Scripture Union Northern Ireland; Crown Jesus Ministries; Logos Ministries; and Made for More. We have also been encouraged by Youth Workers from neighbouring churches, especially All Saints Church and Fisherwick Presbyterian. Our guest speakers share the importance of sharing and living out our faith in an authentic, God-honouring way.
Our annual weekend at Castlewellan Castle is a great opportunity to for the younger and older boys to learn from each other as well as welcoming other staff members who support us over the weekend.
