The Athletics Club has been very successful throughout its history in the school, especially in recent years with over 50 boys representing the school at various age groups. The club is run through the Games programme, using the facilities at the Mary Peter’s Track. The profile of the school has also been enhanced with running the District B Competition, an event in which over 800 athletes compete. The main events during the year are the District, Ulster and Irish Competitions that run during May and June each year.
Outside of the inter-school competition the highlight every year is the Junior and Senior Sports Day Competition in which over 300 boys compete for House points and this provides a fitting finale at the Mary Peter’s Track for the annual House Competition.
