Congratulations to those of all our Year 14 students who participated in the C3L6 Chemistry Competition set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists at St Catherine’s College Cambridge. The competition aims to stretch and challenge students interested in chemistry and is designed to take them significantly beyond the syllabus, encouraging them to think about science in the way they would at university. There were 15406 entries from both national and international students and we were delighted that Daire and Alastar were awarded Silver through demonstrating a strong performance across problem-solving and synthesis. Baraa, Ibrahim, Aiden, Ryan, Jacob and Matthew attained Copper with a solid grasp of the paper’s fundamentals and approaches.

Well done to everyone involved involved – a fantastic accomplishment and a wonderful reflection of your commitment and talent! We are incredibly proud of your achievement.
