Yesterday marked a truly memorable occasion as we celebrated our annual Prize Distribution ceremony under the inspiring theme, ‘INST is Global.’ The atmosphere was one of immense pride and celebration for the outstanding achievements of our talented pupils, both past and present.
We were privileged to welcome respected alumnus and playwright Mr. David Ireland as our guest of honour. In an inspiring address, he encouraged students to recognise their potential and shared how his passion for drama was first sparked on the very Common Hall stage from which he presented yesterday’s array of prizes. The creator of ITV’s Cold Water, Mr. Ireland utterly captivated the audience with his humility and wit.
The business of the day was recognising the hard work, dedication and talent across all year groups. From academic excellence and sporting achievements to success in creative arts and community engagement, it was a fantastic showcase of the rich and varied contributions our pupils make. A huge congratulations to every prize-winner.
While success was celebrated, the day was also poignant. It marked the final Prize Distribution for our esteemed Principal, Ms. Williamson, who will retire in June. The school community took a moment to recognize and thank Ms. Williamson for her years of dedicated service, her incredible vision and the lasting legacy she has built within our institution. Her leadership has truly embodied the ‘INST is Global’ theme, and she will be deeply missed by the whole School community.
Thank you to all staff, governors and parents who attended and made the day such a success.
