Excellence For All Campaign Success

This week marks a very special milestone for RBAI. The Excellence For All campaign has passed its target of £2.5 million. On behalf of my colleagues and our pupils, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to our success. It has been quite a journey.

A total of £2,618,798 has now been committed through one-off donations and multi-year pledges from across the Instonian community. Whilst the target has been reached, it is tremendously encouraging that donations continue in the knowledge that every gift directly benefits our pupils.

At a time when many schools are consolidating budgets, donor support has enabled us to invest in the new Centre of Innovation, creating vital pathways which will prepare pupils for future employment opportunities.

The renovation of the Science laboratories ensures our pupils have access to the best learning environment, continuing our tradition of preparing future leaders in the academic fields of Science, Engineering and Medicine.

The programme of renovation will continue with the Physics department and Modern Languages classrooms in 2022.

As recent leaver and new Irish 200m record holder Jack McMillan closes in on Olympic qualification for Tokyo 2021, support for a new swimming pool means RBAI will continue to nurture elite sporting talent.

At the heart of the Excellence For All campaign has been a commitment to social mobility. RBAI remains a diverse educational environment where bursaries assist pupils in difficult economic circumstances.

The Instonian community continues to play a vital role in keeping the School at the forefront of education in Northern Ireland and the success of this campaign shows what can be achieved towards our vision for the future.

We look forward to celebrating together when the pandemic subsides. In the meantime, thank you again to everyone for their support.
