Congratulations to Years 14 and 13 on their A Level and Equivalent Centre Assessed Grades. In unprecedented times, the boys and their teachers adapted to blended learning, zoom lessons and Teams to maintain momentum with their studies.
Motivated by Higher Education, Apprenticeships and full time employment, the boys have individually and collectively attained at the levels we anticipated and planned for. As stated by the Joint Council for Qualifications, " Given the approach to determining grades in 2021 has been different from 2020 and years when exams took place, it is difficult to draw comparisons with previous sets of results." Overall outcomes for England, Wales and NI show an increase at A* and A-A* at A2 by 4.8% - At RBAI it is 4.4% with the trend maintained for an increase in the % of 3A+-C since 2019.
There are several individual students who undoubtedly excelled at A2/Equivalent with 3/4 A*: Hugo Clarke, Jack Dickson, Ethan Donnelly, Theo Fitch (Head of School), Cole Johnston, Sam McKee, James Napier, Nathan Toland and Adam Wylie ( Deputy Head of School).
On behalf of the Board of Governors and my colleagues, I wish all the boys the very best as the Lower Sixth re commence with their studies at RBAI and as the Year 14 leavers progress to the next stage of their lives.
