The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award allows you to gain new skills, push yourself physically, help others and explore new territories. Along the way, you’ll gather friendships, experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. It is a flexible programme that allows you to choose activities that motivate you and go on your own personal journey, it isn’t only about walking and camping. It has been proven that completing the Award helps you stand out from the crowd when you apply for college, university or jobs.
Benedict Cumberbatch: “What these young people have achieved is fantastic, not just for themselves but for their communities. I know how much their experiences and skills they’ve developed matter; without determination and passion, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
Deborah Meaden: “When I see the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award on that C.V., that tells me an awful lot. They were thinking about how they can grow themselves, how they can learn. I have learned a lot about the way they will work with me.”
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is currently offered in R.B.A.I. to the pupils in the following year groups.
Year 10: Bronze Award
Year 11: Silver Award
Year 13: Gold Award
There will be enrolment for the different levels of the Award every September and groups will generally take one academic year to complete all aspects of the Award.
