Introduction

At RBAI, we celebrate the tremendously diverse curriculum that is in place. The School offers a wide range of courses and provides multiple pathways to meet the needs of each individual pupil so that they can discover their own brilliance. The curriculum is specifically crafted to lead pupils through from the beginning of Year 8 to the start of university life or the first steps of a career. Our teachers are passionate about education and seek to instil a love of learning and nurture natural curiosities. As such, RBAI is committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning so that every pupil can fulfil their potential. This includes a strong emphasis on the acquisition of subject-specific knowledge in each of the areas of learning. The curriculum is also meticulously designed to encourage the development of skills, personal capabilities, positive dispositions and the ability to think both critically and creatively. This helps to prepare our young people for employment in the modern workplace so that they can make a valuable contribution to the economy and society.

Further details of the curriculum we offer at each Key Stage can be found from following the appropriate Curriculum Pathway option on the drop-down menu.

Each day consists of nine 35 minute periods. Many classes, especially at Key Stage 4 and in the Sixth Form, are double periods. The structure of the school day at RBAI is shown below.
