Is there anyone out there from the 1968 leavers? This year marks the 40th anniversary of our departure for pastures new so I hope to meet up with some old pals at the dinner in October.

Well chaps, its been a long time since many of you may remember me. I would love to hear from anyone who was in my year or tutor. Mrs Kennedy was my Jones house tutor. I am so pleased i went to Inst as i would not be where i am today or the person i have turned out to be. I know i was a little terror at school but people change and life moves on. If any of you wish to contact me you are free to do so, you are more than welcome to. McCreery L.D. Jones House Class of 98

Just want to say a big "HELLO" to all my buddies at RBAI, we love the site and await each update with haste! I love the prospect of communicating with my peers over this super guestbook! Lots of love and best wishes for the future! P.S - I am also interested in the whereabouts of Master William Fred O'Conor.

William Fred O'Conor
Hi, i was going through some old books recently and i found one that might be of interest. It is a History of William the Conqueror and inside the cover is an insert label from the Royal Belfast Academical Institution - English Department- an award of the book to a Master William Fred O'Conor for answering all the questions proposed for the week ending 2nd April 1859 (hand written) and signed by Thomas Blain LL.D, Head Master. I wonder what became of Master William Fred O'Conor?

Where have the past 45 years gone
Despite so many years passing & living in several parts of Scotland plus Belfast, I still see my time at Inst being the formative years for education & growing up. Irreplaceable, fond, great memories.

Class of 1997
As a 1997 upper 6th leaver it’s great to be able to review news etc from a distance. It’s also interesting to be able to see how many of the teachers are still teaching! Whilst I did try, never one that could shine in the class room, however playing rugby, starring in Grease and running about like the SAS in cadets made up for the amazing time I had at school. Congratulations on the new website, keep it going!!

Ian Condron (former teacher)
Having left Inst in January 2005 to move to the U.S. I still enjoy catching up on life in the school I enjoyed teaching at for some 20 years. The new Web site is excellent! It is great to see the familiar faces and was delighted to see the Intermediate Relay Teams Record performance in Tullamore last year. Is the Badminton Club still in existence?

We go to MCB so of course we're not commenting on this GREAT school... coughcough. but we've found an old school handbook in my house dating from 1929 belonging to William James Kinear Millar. ?? Its a Charles Lett School Days Journal and we found out it was from Inst as we looked up the schools name.
