Cricket: 1st XI Schools’ Cup 1st Round Results

The 1st XI recorded an excellent win against a strong Coleraine A.I team in the 1st Round of the Ulster Schools’ Cup.

Coleraine decided to bowl first, with RBAI making an impressive 198 for 9 off 35 overs. Ben Mellor top scored with 40, with important contributions from James McCabe (34), Patrick Dologhan (33) and Lewis McNamara (28). In response the Coleraine team were 147 all-out, resulting in a 51 run win.

Also in the 1st round the RBAI 2nd XI played Campbell College 1st XI and scores where as follows:

RBAI lost by 35 runs.

However many congratulations to the 2nd XI on what was an outstanding overall performance against another schools’ 1st XI.
