Many congratulations to the school 1st XI who are through to the final of the Ulster Bank Schools Cup.
They clinched their final place with a 118 run victory over Limavady Grammar. Two excellent partnerships helped secure victory. A good opening partnership between Jonathan Waite (53) and Oliver Metcalfe (37), was followed by a crucial runs scored by batsmen 4 and 5- James Metcalfe scoring 64 and Bradley McNamara hitting 29. After the loss of batsmen 4 in the space of 3 overs, Hugo Ellerby and Sam McLarnon hit crucial runs at the end, with Sam ending on 25 not out. This took the score up to an impressive 238 off our allocated 35 overs.
A professional bowling and fielding performance resulted in Limavady being bowling out for 120.

The final will take place next Friday 15th June at Muckamore Cricket Club, with the start time still to be confirmed.
