Year 10 Project Business

business smallOver the last 2 days, year 10 pupils at RBAI have had the chance to experience business for themselves.

In advance of making GCSE choices, the Business Studies Department, along with Young Enterprise, introduced boys to the role of Investors, Stakeholders and the importance of the Marketing Mix among other things.

Giving Tree Appeal

giving tree appeal smallRBAI’s Year 8 pupils have once again supported Belfast Central Mission’s “Giving Tree appeal”. Over the last few weeks, boys have donated gifts to be distributed to others boys their age throughout Belfast. On Wednesday 14th December, four Year 8 boys accompanied by two of the Mentors plus Mr Hamilton and Miss Reid, delivered the presents to BCM in Glengall Street, where they were received with much appreciation. Pictured are Year 8 pupils Rhys Madden, Ben Rose, Finlay McCracken and Ben Connolly who all helped with the appeal.

Queen's University Maths Competition

maths small imageWell done to the RBAI Senior Maths Team who took 3rd place out of 26 teams at the 2011 Annual Mathematics Competition at Queen’s University on Friday, 2nd December 2011.  The competition consisted of three parts. In the first part our team was faced with 12 mathematical problems. In the second part they had to complete a series of mathematical puzzles while the third part was a Maths quiz.
